| RAJAR was established in 1992 to operate a single audience measurement system for BBC and commercial radio stations in the UK. There are currently about 340 individual stations measured on RAJAR, including 60 BBC stations, with results published every quarter for all radio stations. However, due to the complexity of the UK radio map, RAJAR interviews approximately 130,000 adults aged 15 years and older (plus around 5,000 children between 4 and 14 years old) over 50 weeks. The Christmas and New Year holiday period is excluded from fieldwork. The survey operates as a sweep, not a panel, which means that respondents only participate for one week. They are asked to complete a one week diary showing all the stations they listened to, for at least five minutes, recorded in quarter hour time blocks. Top line results, i.e. weekly reach and hours per station, are made available to the public free of charge. Access to more detailed information, such as audience per show, is only available to subscribers. talkSPORT: Audience Data for Q2: March 2009 to June 2009 TSA: This radio station broadcasts to a survey area of 51,280,000 adults.
