| talkSPORT Presenter Profiles Meet the talkSPORT Presenters South London born Jason Cundy came through the ranks at Stamford Bridge to play 57 first team games for Chelsea and is now a regular co-presenter on Andy Goldstein's Sports Bar each weekend. At the beginning of the very first Premiership season in 1992/1993 Jason moved from West London to North London after Tottenham signed him for £750,000. Jason's spell at White Hart Lane lasted over 4 years, through the Ossie Ardiles and Gerry Francis management phases, and his claim to fame in a Spurs shirt was scoring a David Beckham style goal from the halfway line, before the idea had even crossed Beckham's mind. Jason then moved to Portman Road, Ipswich in 1996, and played 72 games for the Tractor Boys, scoring 5 goals. His final professional club was on the south-coast at Portsmouth, who he played 11 games for between 1999 and 2000 and also represented England three times at Under 21 level. Off the field, Jason has reported on Chelsea in the Champions League for GMTV on the sofa with John Stapleton and Kate Garraway. He has also graced the Soccer AM studios many times, and provided analysis for Ipswich Town matches on BBC Radio Suffolk. Jason has provided co-commentary for a number of talkSPORT's live commentary matches in the Premier League, Champions League and the 2006 World Cup alongside Tim White and Geoff Peters in Germany. Jason has worked at the Chelsea Academy for the last seven years, in the Development Centre for the Under 7s and as coach for the Under 12s whilst also working on their television station Chelsea TV. Jason has been a high profile voice in the battle against testicular cancer among young men after being diagnosed with testicular cancer in February 1997. After treatment with chemotherapy, he returned to first team action the following season. Jason is a founder member of the Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, and also works for a number of charities including Everyman and The Orchid Appeal. |
